The BASIS PROMPT Pest Controllers register is an industry initiative which provides independent proof that a pest controller has received proper professional training and has continued to update their expertise through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). As registration has to be renewed each year, members of the register will always be aware of the most up-to-date techniques, products and legal obligations.
Pests are smart, they are opportunistic and they don't discriminate. In order to treat them effectively we use a range of methods employing the latest technology. We start by looking at all factors surrounding your pest problem such as food sources, harbourage areas, ingress points and any proofing or hygiene issues.
Whether your business premises requires a one off treatment or an annual service contract, we can provide a swift and effective solution. Our annual service contracts range from 2 - 26 scheduled inspections per year, in most cases 6 to 12 are sufficient, dependent on industry. All tamper-proof bait stations / monitors are anchored and we only use approved methods and pesticides.
Bedbugs are on the rise, with recent reports suggesting incidences worldwide have risen by over 500% factors linked to this epidemic are increased international travel and immigration. They can infest dwellings in several ways, you may acquire bedbugs whilst staying at a bed and breakfast or hotel where they can be transported back in your luggage, or by bringing infested second hand furniture or clothing into the home.
In the UK the two main species of Pest Ant we come across are the Common Black/ Garden Ant and the Pharoah's Ant, both cover a wide area in search of food, and once found are seen trailing to and from their nest. The Black/ Garden Ant does not pose any health risk to humans, but they can be a serious nuisance when entering buildings.

Steve was very calm and level headed during a very stressful couple of months for us and we came to rely upon his reliability and his expertise. He went beyond his remit to resolve not only our own issue but also to collaborate with neighbours and other pest control professionals and he was always very happy to discuss the rationale behind his methods so that we could fully understand the process, what to expect and what part we needed to play in resolving the infestation. The ultimate test of his expertise though was that the treatment was successful and a month on there has been no sign of rats

Highly recommend Thames Valley Pest Control! A blackbird had become stuck in my chimney breast. I called them very late in the day after the original company had failed to show and by this time, the bird was sounding extremely distressed (as was I). Steve very kindly agreed to help. As he said he would, he arrived within the hour and was able to rescue the bird. Such a relief (and to the bird too I'm sure)!! Thank you so much for your help and for putting yourself out Steve.
