NWD is an RIBA chartered Architectural Practice located in Kelsall, close to Chester, Tarporley and Northwich. Allowing for a change in name and faces, we have been practicing for more than 40 years, which means we have the depth of experience in the field, whilst still loving what we do.
We offer a wide range of design, technical and related services, including Passivhaus / low energy design, Interior Designer, project management and Principal Designer.The types of architecture we are typically engaged in are private homes, residential projects, schools, shops and offices (residential, education and commercial in architect speak).

Services
NWD are a team of Architects, Architectural Assistants and Technologists located in Kelsall, just East of Chester. We typically work across Chester, Cheshire, The Wirral and North Wales. We also serve clients nationally and occasionally internationally. We have an excellent set of design and technical skills that we apply to both existing and new buildings.
Matt Davenport of NWD Architects is a Certified Passivhaus Designer. That means NWD Architects are the only Architectural Practice covering Chester, Wirral, North & Central Wales and The Northern Welsh Marches. We are uniquely placed to provide a full design and mangament service for you low energy project.
The current CDM Regulations 2015 places specific responsibilities on The Client, The Principal Contractor, Contractors and all Designers. Where there is more than one contractor on any project clients must appoint a competent Principal Designer to ensure that all duty holders and associated Health and Safety matters are put in place during the pre-construction phase.
RIBA Chartered Architects with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience. More information. Junior Architectural Technician or Technologist - currently undertaking or having recently completed a CIAT accredited course. APS accredited Principal Designer's with minimum of 5 years post accreditation relevant experience.
