Engaged Abbey Builders to carry out dry rot treatment to ground floor following inspection by Mike. They were able to start the work quite quickly.
They we're eager to explain the reasoning for all the work that needed to be carried out. Clear pricing and we actually paid a little less when the floor had been removed and the extent of the work required was apparent.
All areas and floors were covered and protected to minimise dust, and debris swept up at the end of the day. At the end of the job we found a door sticking and a skirting board needed adjusting

We wanted a kitchen extension but did not know who to contact so we googled builders in Liverpool and were attracted to the high ratings for abbey builders. We made an arrangement for Lee and Ray to come around to give a quote . We thought the quote was very fair and arranged for works to start. From the start the men arrived on time and covered adjacent areas with dust sheets to keep the rest of the house clean. Just had our Kitchen and Dining room knocked into one. From day one all the guys who worked on the job were very good, professional, friendly and talked everything through what they were doing. Paul gave us ideas on what changes we could make to improve the build. Would like a special mention to go to Peter, Alan, Terry for their help also and a very professional job in keeping ever tidy as they went along, also, the plumbers, Stu the plaster and Shaun the electrician. Recently had some work undertaken by Abbey Builders. Fantastic cannot praise this firm and their staff enough. The project management by Lee was amazing in order for things to run smoothly between the professionals from plasters to electricians to plumbers. Every bit of mess was cleared at the end of the day and the work undertaken was of a high standard at a good competitive price. Certainly exceeded expectations. Would only ever use this firm if ever needed any other work done.

First impressions were excellent when we needed a quote for Ins purposes after a leak. After having to chase them for a quote they then said they needed to come out again to have another look. After another few days of waiting we received the quote which was accepted by the insurance. When we contacted Abbey to say that they could start the job the boss Dave said that he would need to come and see the job as he hadn't seen it before. On arrival he was very dismissive and spoke down to me. He said he would need to requote (even after 2 previous visits) and that he would arrange for another quote

We contacted Abbey as we had a damp issue and Lee came to see us the next day. Good, value for money quote and work started the following week. The whole team was great (particularly Alan and Paul) and did an excellent job, even cleaned up after themselves really well, taking all rubbish away. Ended up asking for some additional work to be done and it was no problem for them. Can’t speak highly enough of Lee and his project management as he made sure everything ran smoothly and kept us updated throughout. Will definitely use Abbey again.

I have used Dave and his team at Abbey Builders for many jobs at my business. I feel that Dave is very genuine and helpful. The builders made it easy for me to understand what work needed to be carried out, why it needed to be carried out and without any corners being cut. I also felt that relative to the quality of work (second to none) the prices of Abbey Builders are always fair and accurate. A brilliant local building company providing a great service to customers.
