Vertical World UK began back in 1996. I had been working in the construction industry for 20 years and I have always had a passion for rock climbing and mountaineering. I found that more and more jobs were at height and that I could combine my trade and hobbies to solve them. I enjoy the challenge of solving the difficulties that come from doing what would be a relatively straightforward job, but at height.
Hence, Vertical World UK was born. From the company's humble beginnings working from the boot of my car, we now have a fleet of specialist technicians that can service anywhere in Ireland, onshore and off, from our base and in-house training facility in Saintfield. Our range of services grows year-on-year.

Services
When turbine blades get dirty, wind resistance increases and the power curve drops meaning less generation. When dirt builds up on one blade more than the others, it can lead to an imbalance in the rotor which causes damage. We hand clean all our blades so as not to damage them, specifically the leading edge, which can get pitted/chipped when washed with power washers.
Sometimes its not about the physical skills of rope access, but rather the mental function for jobs. Our eye for detail and specialist equipment allow us to give datacentres the most thorough cleaning. We clean everything from the ceilings, tops of cabinets/equipment, cabinet doors, inside the cabinets, floor tiles and down to the under-floor cable spaces.
