Blueprint Architecture
Blueprint Architecture is an award-winning Architect practice that offers bespoke design solutions. As Certified Passive House Designers we can incorporate the most effective low energy design principles into all types of buildings, with our specialism being one-off houses and extensions for private clients.

Blueprint Architecture is delighted to feature on Scotland's Home of the Year with our project Rainbows' End, a stunning home overlooking Loch Fleet in the Scottish Highlands. We work closely with our clients to understand exactly what they are looking for and we combine this with our experience and design creativity to create truly beautiful buildings.

Blueprint Architecture is based in Tain and from our office there we work throughout the Highlands with projects in Dornoch, Inverness and the surrounding area. We also have live projects at the moment on the West Coast for both home owners and local businesses.
Services
Where you live and how you use and enjoy that environment is very important. We understand the benefits that a beautiful space brings and we work with you to create the perfect environment to live or work in. We have been on this journey not only with our clients, but also with our own self build. We understand the process for the required Consents, but more than that we want to create a building that you love!
We believe that involving an Architect at the outset will add value and will make the whole process run more smoothly. We have over 20 years' experience working in practice on a wide variety of projects. We work closely with Planning and Building Standards and have an excellent understanding of what is required to gain Planning Approval and meet the various technical requirements for a Building Warrant.
There are many types of Planning Application. We take care of the whole process, including all required drawings and advising on other consultants who might be required. We also fill out all the forms and deal with any questions from the Planning Officer dealing with your application. The most valuable contribution we make to your Planning Application is our experience.
The majority of work to an existing building, particularly if it involves any structural changes or if the work alters the insulation envelope will require a Building Warrant. New Houses and Extensions also require a Building Warrant, with New Houses requiring an energy calculation (SAP, which stands for Standard Assessment Procedure).
