Alan and Bryn Edmondson offer expert horticulture and design services for gardens and commercial projects of all sizes. Founded in 2000, by father and son team Alan and Bryn Edmondson, we handle a wide range of projects from small planting schemes and renovations to large country gardens. Based in Lymington, we design and plant gardens throughout the New Forest, Hampshire and Dorset.
We are particularly experienced in dealing with coastal and forest conditions. Our work is characterised by clean, elegant lines, a strong sense of place, luxuriant and colourful planting, and space for wildlife. Initially we arrange a free visit to discuss your requirements and the services we can provide.
Very simple projects may not require any drawings but we usually produce drawings as a first stage. Once our initial plan is completed we would discuss it with you and make any changes needed. When you are happy with the design we provide a detailed quote for the horticultural work. For any hard landscaping work required we have a good relationships with some excellent local landscapers and can provide a project management service if required.

Alan is highly a experienced and talented horticulturalist, former National Mastermind of Gardening, past president of the National Auricula and Primula Society, award-winning conservationist and regular gardening expert on BBC Radio Solent. Drifts of grasses and perennials create a natural, relaxed feel. We used gravel paths with timberstone detailing to divide the large beds and frame views in this garden in the New Forest. White rendered raised beds planted with Buxus sempervirens and Festuca glauca 'Intense Blue'. Our client wanted a raised bed constructed to hide a new wall, a trellis for screening and a sitting area.
