The client dreamt of an open planned family living area. The concept was to utilise all areas for maximum storage whilst creating light and space. The original spindle staircase caused a loss of heat and sound to travel. The spindles were replaced with toughened fireproof safety glass, preventing both heat and sound from escaping.
David Boxwell and his team were friendly, skilful, adaptable and a pleasure to work with. The various trades were all given the right information at the right time, all worked well together and occasionally did each other's jobs if that was needed. The whole experience was a happy one, even though I was 224 miles away most of the time.

I purchased my first house in July 2019 which was in need of a lot of work to make it habitable. I had 'pre-booked' with them that i would be requiring their services. With just a month from getting the keys until move in day they managed to fit me a complete new kitchen, arranged for a full re wire of the house and for new carpets to be fitted through out. There were several un plastered walls in the house to sort, as well as chases to infill in every room, a new ceiling and new floor for the kitchen. The guys all worked really hard and did an excellent job making sure it was ready for our move in date, liaising with all other trades and making sure everyone was there on time! Around November time, when all the bad weather hit we realized we had a major problem with rain getting into the kitchen so emergency repair works were undertaken to the outer render and window sills to stop the water being able to get in. Since then we have a large window turned into patio doors, an outdoor block bin store created along with a reinforced wall in order to level the garden and some narrow garden steps widened. I would highly recommend Norman Brooking Builders, the quality of work is excellent and they took the time to listen to all my ideas and turn them into a reality. They offered suggestions where some of my ideas weren't feasible and helped to come up with a solution. Always on time, a hard working bunch who are prepared to go the extra mile.
