DIY’d our RD55 low profile door more than 5 years ago and it’s been pretty much faultless. Did all of the work myself until it was time to lift it into place and secure when a mate gave a hand. Took a couple of… hours to complete including the wiring and setup. Only issues have been caused due to the lack of safety edge on the bottom slat to negate user error. I’m surprised it’s still in one piece really as it’s been closed onto car seats, bins, bicycles, you name it it’s been left in the way. All I’ve had to replace is the locking straps when they

Great customer service
I managed to close my 16’ door on an obstruction and break all seven straps. Aaron came exactly on time and had everything replaced and then ran through a thorough series of tests to make sure everything was functioning as it should. All done and fixed in about 30 minutes. Aaron is an excellent tech with a great sense of humour.
I’ve had my door about five years now and am very pleased with it. It’s nice to find the customer service is as good as the product.

Easily rectified with help from Rollerdor without the need for an engineer to come.

The quality was poor compared with the others I had seen. We didn’t realise that without a shut off sensor the door was actually quite dangerous. I’d assumed in a contact scenario it would still shut off. The slats are held on with a cheap plastic caps that often come off
After a few months A small box left out stopped it closing but the motor just kept spinning which trashed the door into an angle and released it’s from the rotator segment and eventually crashing down
I said it could hurt a small child (we have 2) and the reply was we should have bought the sensor. Since when was safety

In hindsight I wish I had researched roller garage doors more before buying.
Since purchasing this door we have had to replace the top straps about three times because the type of rubber sensor strip on the lower slat of Rollerdor products only detects large objects (people) and not items which may be blown by the wind e.g. buckets. This has caused the mechanism failing to stop and loud bangs as the plastic straps break with the slats becoming bent and scratched.
Other garage doors with a different type of sensor detect any items and stop/retract.
The installation is quite poor with metal cover

The company is ok to deal with but the door is not the best of quality. I have had my roller door for a year and a half now, so far two straps have broken, no obstructions and the door barely pushes onto the floor. They just aren't up to the job and the design of the collars holding them are held in place with self tapping screws which mark the barrel. Only got to search on eBay for Roller Garage Door RDAL77 locking strap and you can see how many have been sold. Currently 1283 sold. Why is this? The company will not replace them under warranty. What happens to my door when these are no longer available

I had one of the doors measured and installed by them, it looked nice at first and works as it should. However these doors are made from very inadequate skin, so much so they can dent and crease with very little force and can even be pushed out of the rails they bend that much. I always thought my roller dor was secure but after a while decided to test it and it isn't. From my experience these doors look nice initially but soon degrade due to poor material thickness and they aren't secure, they will fail if put to the test so I would think twice before trusting your property with one.

I DO NOT recommend this company, look elsewhere. Since buying a garage door off RollerDor it has had the slats replaced twice as it scratched itself rolling up. The repairer blamed the fitter for fitting it too tight. Then the bottom sensor failed and had to be replaced. That then needed yet another repair visit as they managed to leave a big gap… under the door for rain and wind to come howling in. They turned up with the wrong colour slats after it scratched again. Each time this requires a day off work. Then they had to replace the control unit as the door would open halfway and stop

This is the 2nd Rollerdor i have purchased. Both installed without too much hassle. The first had been working perfectly for well over a year, the second finished today and I expect it to be as good as the first. The fitting instructions could clearer but, if you get stuck their phone service is excellent with helpful, patient and friendly engineers ready to help. Very happy to recommend.

Rollerdor is a great company offering a great customer experience, as well as quality products. I just had a double garage door fitted to replace my ageing doors, and I couldn't be more happy with the results. Really nice head office personnel to discuss requirements over the phone with and first class knowledgeable engineers visiting the premises. I have nothing but praise for the service I received from Rollerdor. I had three teams call, firstly for the survey then the installation and finally to carry out a minor amount of remedial work. All three teams were very professional, carried out the work efficiently and were very polite and courteous. And I am very pleased with the finished job.
