Northwood by any stretch of the imagination was extremely challenging. The works involved the Design & Construction of Northwood High School which comprises of a new three storey School building and a standalone Sports block facility, external areas including an AWP, sports pitches and car parking facilities.
All of these Phase 1 works had to be completed in 14 months with a total value of 31million. Phase 2 of these works was the demolition of the existing Northwood High school which sat adjacent to the newly constructed school building. Due to the very tight program Farrans had to ensure that we were picking from what we call or Tier 1 subcontractors which McCartan Joinery clearly are.
