Our wide experience of joinery methods and the versatility of specialist joinery we produce are some of our strengths, the individual approach is paramount, with all orders benefiting from the bespoke approach.
Our joinery is manufactured from first and second grade joinery redwood which is hand picked for quality. We can obtain a wide range of hardwoods such as Utile, Iroko & Oak for external use. Decorative Timbers such as Oak, Ash, Maple, Beech and many other types for internal use, all subject to availability.
The timber we use is kiln dried and obtained from renewable/sustainable sources and in different finishes. Every new job starts with you the customer, we can spend time discussing ideas, visiting sites and helping customers to select the best timber and materials. A combination of modern methods and traditional craftsmanship ensures that we achieve the right balance.

Services
Island Joinery was established in 1975 by Nigel Abbott & Des Sprake. After Nigel served his apprenticeship at Moreys, Newport he was approached by the local builder in his home village of Wroxall. Jim Hales asked him if he would be prepared to take on the job of workshop manager in his busy joiners shop.
