Services
In early 2003, SJR were handed an unusual task. Would we oversee the client's Part Qualified Architect daughter in the design of a contemporary dwelling within the Park Conservation Area? Being no strangers to client's demands, the commission was accepted. SJR then translated the client's and his daughter's dream into a reality by preparing detailed construction drawings, specifications and schedules to allow the on-site works to commence.
The client wanted a high class image for their new premises reflecting the quality Thai food they produce. The takeaway was designed to look just as impressive after dark, when the business is primarily open. We liaised closely with our client to provide interior design detailing which is both dramatic and easily maintained.
This project involved the demolition of a previous building to make way for a new 6,300sqft building. The featured project was phase 2 of a 3 phase project, designed to allow continuation of the clients business activities. The design took into consideration the prominent 'corner plot' nature of the site, which sits at a cross roads position.
Our involvement with this premises had been over many years, with a number of owners, encompassing several projects. Originally we worked in extending the premises and converting workshop space into showroom areas, before later working on installing showroom windows and creating extended forecourt areas and external works.
This project was the change of use of a former cafe & prize bingo premises, to a high class fish & chip restaurant and take-away, located in Whitby. The property is a listed building, and the proposed works involved the creation of a new shop frontage, including awnings, signage and lighting. Our client's brief was to convey a 'traditional' feel.
