Bertram Thomas Smith, started growing at Smith's in the 1930's. Post the year 2000 Smith's has undergone a magnificent transition into a family-run garden center that really does have it all. Here at Smith's, we pride ourselves on our vast and extraordinary selection of premium plants and shrubs.
Here at Smith's, we boast multiple Stoneware and Pottery areas, where we are sure you will exactly what you are looking for. Whether that's a stone bust or statue to add the perfect touches to a rockery or terracotta pot to add create the fine detail in your outdoor haven, we are sure to have what you desire.
We take the safety of our staff and customers seriously and as such we have amended our delivery terms while social distancing measures need to be in place. We operate this service within an approximate radius of 12 miles. Delivery charges vary by postcode and will be calculated upon checking out your online order.

Well I decided to book the grotto here, not imagining just how amazing it would be. We all thought it was absolutely fantastic. My daughter had recently been very ill and been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and she really deserved a treat. This grotto along with the organisation and lovely staff really made our Christmas. THE whole garden centre is so beautifully presented.

Santa's grotto is wonderful, Santa and the elves really made the experience one to remember for our boys. Even with social distancing it was still a magical experience for them.
The garden centre is full of twinkling lights and decorations, there is a lot to see and explore for little ones (and adults).
All staff were very friendly and polite, they served delicious cake in the café too!

What an amazing family run garden centre! They truly have amazing customer service. Not only are the staff friendly and helpful if you approach them but its the only garden centre I've ever visited where the staff walk around asking if you need help. Especially seeing as I cluelessly buying Christmas lights! Lots of parking, and they have an awesome cafe if you need an espresso or two during the visit! 😉

This place is dangerous for anyone with garden related impulse control issues. It's beautifully laid out, lovely plants and huge variety. Great home and garden extras and unfortunately for me a well stocked house plant section.
I went in for sphagnum moss and almost went home with a menagerie but managed to limit it to 5 plants, some cards, some moss, some swivel rings for hanging planters, a decorative plant pot, some plant food and some stuff I can't even remember but was essential at the time.
You have been warned!

My husband and I often visit the Smith's Garden Centre, which is our loveliest garden shop. There are many reasons why we love shopping there. Starting from a convenient parking and toilets on site, then a large selection of products with all what you need to your garden. There are beautifully arranged plant areas, including palms, olive trees, shrubs, amazing flowers, and garden decorations. And finally, with a great appreciation to the owner, fully dedicated to the business, and a very polite and helpful staff, we wish you all the best!
