All my life. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a furniture family so even though I was not working, I was learning through osmosis! Chaplins was founded in 1993 by my late father James Chaplin. I took over the running of the company in 2005 after his retirement from the industry. At present we have over 30 full time employees over the various departments of retail, contract, distribution, marketing and accounts.

I have placed two furniture orders with Chaplins and in both instances the process has been very smooth and they have provided very good communication throughout, despite all the current challenges we face with COVID. And of course the furniture was of very high quality. I would highly recommend Chaplins.

We bought a table from here this year, the sales person was very knowledgeable, polite, professional and efficient when I placed the order. There was a delay as a result of COVID as the peice was being imported from Italy but the communiation was solid. When it did arrive the sales person (Ali) went above and beyond to get it to me. I geneuinely beleive he cares about his customer and their satification, what an asset. Anyway, a very positive experience, all of the above makes me want to use them again.

Being made to feel like the source of the covid pandemic... The foreign waitress couldn't understand us when we asked for a simple bottle of water and the other one had no volume control. The food was disappointing and pensioners portions then when we voiced our opinion with the owner he started shouting about us smelling of alcohol, when we didn't or don't even drink. Then starts yelling about getting out and don't bother coming back, no problem there, don't worry mate we wont!!!

Over the last few years we've bought several items at Chaplins in their Hatch End branch. Every single time we are there, it is great customer service. Even if you come in browsing around, for the tenth time (sorry! ;-) From the team in the showroom to the guys who deliver the items: we could not flaw them in any way. Hartelijk dank!

Chaplains is a very respectable and luxurious furniture store in Hatch End. A lot of ideas for the home and very very creative pieces they have. Found this red chair and ball chair. Staff are really friendly too. Store can get quite busy. There is parking available behind the store. Good choice of tables, mirrors, beds and lights.

I've been here a few times now to view different furniture as well as purchase. Staff are generally helpful and will give time, if needed. However, after a few visits I realised some members of staff didn't appear to have true knowledge of products and would just tell me anything that they thought would close out the question, eg I asked about the artist of a piece of work and was told that they didn't know because it was an exclusive piece but the artist is French. They couldn't confirm the materials used either. It's disappointing, considering the price range. My experience
