We work with a large number of companies locally across Wetherby and the surrounding area and regionally across Yorkshire. We specialise in working with Landlords, Estate and Letting Agents, carrying out regular checks to ensure the safety of tenants and to make sure properties are in excellent electrical health.
We can provide supply and install all parts associated with rewiring any size property from a bed-sit to a stately home, with expert advice on planning on the best place for sockets, lights, switches and other electrical devices from the concept to completion. We can move or replace your consumer units with a modern 18th edition compliant unit, Complete with miniature circuit breakers and RCD protection for a safety.
We cover many industrial applications from specialist machines to power installs, shutter doors, earthing systems and factory floor lighting. We can replace your consumer units with heavier duty single phase or three phase consumer units depending on the buildings supply, or simply just move the existing one to its new location.
At J.M.Kay Electrical we cover all types of inspection or testing such as; Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) and general electrical surveying. Inspection and testing is not only a requirement of BS7671 (18th edition wiring regulations) before any new installations are put in to service, but also necessary to ensure that existing installations are safe to continue to use.

I write with reference to Steve Kay’s advice and the team of electricians who fitted our downlights in our home.
Steve very promptly arrived to assess the outdated lights in our ceilings. I was supplied with a quote immediately for their replacement and understood labour costs would be on top of this. Steve offered to replace the lights one level at a time if I wished (it being a three storey house) so I took him up on this offer deciding to do the two top floors of the house first.
The gentlemen who fitted the lights (and an extra outside light) worked tidily, efficiently and left no evidence

Two years ago I set up Brewtown Tours. As a small business owner, I realise how important customer service is and I try to do that little extra for the guest on my tours.
