I was in need of a proper door frame and heavyset door for my bedroom and adjacent bathroom and after spotting the Mechlins van on the my way to work, thought I had found the right person for the job.
Initially Sam, the proprietor, was responsive and came out to see the work I wanted done. Despite only wanting two doors fitted, work which was estimated to take half a day, he charged us a full day's rate. His availability was limited and so I eventually arranged for a family member to be around one day that he could make since I had to go to work.
