We supply architectural Welsh Slate from our own quarry on the picturesque Horseshoe Pass, near Llangollen, North Wales, as well as Welsh slate or stone from other Welsh quarries. We can manufacture bespoke one-offs cut to size slate or large volumes for flooring or cladding projects. The quarry is family owned and run.
We do the whole process, from extracting slate to finishing bespoke items such as slate worktops, slate hearths, slate window sills, slate flooring, decorative slate chippings and more. We are currently looking for companies around the UK to stock and sell our beautiful Welsh Slate products.

Services
For open solid fuel fires (open fires or stoves which burn with doors open) we recommend the slate to be in 2 pieces if over 600mm and minimum 40mm thick to prevent cracking. There is a choice of 3 edge profiles - 3mm chamfer, pencil round, or sawn. Please use our hearth calculator below for prices - and you can buy online right now!
Contemporary honed slate wall tiles are perfect for that unique look. Perfect for wet rooms or the bathroom or even in the kitchen. Available in our fine rubbed (honed) finish. When sealed with our recommended Intensifia sealer, it not only brings out the natural beauty of the colours, but gives superior protection as well.
Finish off those beautiful Berwyn Slate floor tiles with some honed smooth skirtings and architraves. Supplied in solid 20mm thick slate with a fine rubbed (honed) face, one long edge finished on skirtings and two long edges finished on architraves. They give a fantastic look and finish even if laid without slate flooring.
Size: Nominal 100mm bed width (-10+20) x random height (30 to 200mm) x random length (150 to 500mm). Bricklayers and stone masons love the ease of laying this material, even though it is a natural material. It is quite modular and square in shape. It is easily split into the desired height to match the neighbouring stone when laying.

I bought a small, T-shaped slate hearth from Berwyn Slate. It was delivered on time, it was very reasonably priced, the measurements were precise and the slate itself is absolutely stunning, full of character and texture. Fantastic craftsmanship with full supply chin transparency. An excellent company selling top-class products.

Fantastically Helpful and great quality products!
We live locally and were re-building our home which is made of local slate. The guys at the quarry were extremely helpful and the cost of the slate we required, around 1 tonne, was surprisingly affordable. Great product and great service - what else is there! Thanks

They charged me up-front, delivery was scheduled 4 days ago and I am still waiting for it after about 10 phone calls. Every time I call them to complain that they missed delivery slot, they change delivery time and that never happens. Very bad business, best stay away from this company, do not get fooled by professional-looking website and friendly contact person.
