Services
Warman Building Company Ltd was formed over 20 years ago by Pete Warman who saw it as a natural progression from being a Sub-Contractor. The Company has now grown from small beginnings into an established, professional and well run construction company and has accreditation from Altius (see Health & Safety section) and has also membership of The Federation of Master Builders (FMB).
Constructing a building from an empty site is always a challenge. Building regulations change and alternative methods of construction are often utilised. Some of our sites have used solar power for water heating, and with greater insulation reduced the energy required to live in the house. Bespoke properties are air tested to ensure that the warm air within the building is not wasting away.
Oak trees come from small acorns, similarly some of our larger contracts have come from small jobbing works. These jobs are often reactionary and require a rapid response, often the works being completed in a single day. These reactionary jobs are carried out in domestic, industrial and public buildings where our staff work discreetly to complete the tasks as requested.
Working on a listed building, one is reminded that you are not the first to have put hammer to wall in a particular building. Works in these buildings are restricted depending on the grading and requires the input of the Listed Building Inspector, who will indicate what materials can and cannot be used.
Buildings change and evolve in their lifespan. These changes are often to make bigger, more modern or to change the use. Our recent works involved forming a shop and storage at Crackmore petrol station in Milborne Port; extending and providing modern toilets in the church hall at Milborne Port, enlarging and forming toilets at Mudford village hall and forming three extensions at a town centre nursing home.

Pete Warman built a house for me 5 years ago. Pete and his team were excellent. They worked to a contract with a fixed price and came in on time and on budget barring extras for the garden patio and some other items. This was a complete job including decorating and tiling and landscaping without turf and plants.
Easy to deal with and very professional, I would recommend them to anyone wanting any building work to be done whether it is small or large.
