Following an apprenticeship with James Gibbons at Snowhill, Wolverhampton, our combined 60 years experience has revived - and keeps alive - the forgotten hand-crafted skills that we are extremely proud to promote. My son Neil, took a keen interest in the trade and later joined me in business and together we successfully tackle projects that have been refused elsewhere.
Over the years we have built a high profile portfolio of work for customers including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, House of Lords, various castles, churches and stately homes, the brasses on the 17ft main staircase at Longleat, bronze locks and keys at special request for Eric Clapton, antique bureau refurbishment for Aston Villa Owner Randy Lerner (please see image bottom right), and have reconditioned locks and keys for the Royal Yacht Britannia.

I was looking for a replacement lock for an antique bonheur-du-jour. The bonheur-du-jour has two cupboards, both cupboards should have had locks, but one lock was missing. So I needed a replacement. Unfortunately suitable locks are no longer made. After much searching i found Keith Carrier and Sons. Neil carrier immediately recognised the lock type and provided a sensible quotation for a replacement. They then not only custom made a replacement lock that fitted the bonheur-du-jour perfectly, but also provided new keys that fitted both the new and remaining original lock, all within a couple of

Called Keith Carrier and son out on Monday 28 October 2019 when my front door lock would not lock/unlock, he came to ours straight away as I was due at work a bit later, within the hour my lock had been changed and was working perfect, he also noticed that one of my door handles was broke, he did a repair on the handle which again now works like a new one and he also lubricated my door locks all this was done at a VERY REASONABLE price. I would definately use again and would strongly recommend his services, 5* from me.
