We operate during traditional business hours, but also have an emergency, mobile service for times when "tomorrow" just isn't feasible. David, the owner of County Locksmiths, started his career as a locksmiths apprentice in 1997 at a well established Newport based lock and safe company. He was taught from the bottom up as bench locksmith and then progressed to a locksmith engineer, providing call-out services for lock opening and repair.
If you have an issue related to your car key, please get in touch via our contact page or if you require our immediate attention, please call us directly. We carry stock of replacement locks and ignition cylinders if yours were to fail and need replacing. We can supply spare keys and remotes for when you've lost, damaged or had your original stolen.
We are happy to be able to offer a locksmith service for most of the vehicles on the road today, dealing specifically with the manufacturers listed below. Most of these vehicle dealers have between a five and ten day lead-time for replacement keys and remotes. You will also be required to have your vehicle recovered and taken to them for the key to be programmed.

Mercedes main dealer currently have up to a seven working day wait time to supply you with your new Mercedes car key. In some cases Mercedes main dealers require a picture of the chassis number, which can't be accessed if the vehicle is locked.

Spoke to Dave about an issue with my Impreza. With his experience he talked me through a few options and also made sure that I wasn't spending money on a service I probably didn't need. Long story short, he got the codes for my car immobiliser system. Could have easily charged me for a callout but didn't. Very honest guy who clearly wants to help and isn't just after your cash. Used County Auto Keys via the RAC key cover, as I lost my fob for my Mazda. Called ahead to double check he had the right equipment for replacement, and called with an ETA too. Arrived as planned and provided a new key and fob and programmed both - good quality key and fob also, the OEM Mazda key and fob can be a little flimsy. Very quick service also, very friendly guy, and all round very professional service
