Our company was founded in 1965 by Mr Chris Ball, who built the business from scratch, initially working from the family home in South East London. With rapid expansion in the 1980s, he located the company premises to Forest Hill. In 2017 we moved operations to our brand new offices on the Bromley road Catford.

At Chris Ball Roofing, we carry over 5000m2 of high performance torch on felt every year. We are fully approved to lay our chosen manufacturers' products and, depending on specification, are able to offer up to 25 year warranties on our new roofs. With a long history in the industry dating back to 1965, we have a wealth of experience and knowledge within our sector.

We have a warranty with Chris Ball & Son Roofing and recently have had issues with their work. Even though we have 7 years left on our warranty, they refuse to fix the roof and say the warranty doesn't cover the issue. The issue is we have a leak in the roof they installed. Ridiculous

Generous two stars... because they did show up on time for a quote on a 5-figure job, and they did reply to my emails in a timely manner.
Some other roofers spent 30min with me, going through all the work and explaining everything nicely, but Chris Ball & team literally spent 2 minutes with me! As you can guess the quote was missing a few items that we discussed, and some other items they didn't notice but were highlighted to me later by other roofers. Disappointing.
If you're not interested in a job because it's too small for you or you're too busy, no problem! Just say it straight away and

Didn’t carry out the majority of work agreed but invoiced for all of it. Very aggressive about getting money. Very rude staff who values money above all else. No integrity. Would never use again if they were the last roofing company in London. Avoid like the plague. Would give no stars it I could that would be overly generous

Where to start... Complete waste of time and overpriced charged my elderly Nan over £6000 to repair 2 leaks by flat roof and side of the house. They did a good job on the flat roof I’ll give them that but they replaced and measly 20 ish tiles on the roof as they thought that was the cause of the problem. The roof continued to leak and took 4 visits for them to finally figure out the problem but they didn’t even do that it took my partner and I 10mins to work out the problem of the leak my cat could of done a better job.
They then had the cheek to charge us another £2000 to rectify a problem

It is really worth paying a little bit more to get this great trustworthy service. I have used the company for years and they go the extra mile to make sure your roof is fixed properly, they come when they say they will, they get specialists in, they forsee problems and deal with them, and they communicate everything well. Happy to recommend them.

Very good customer service. Julia was amazing and coordinated the job in order to meet my very tight timescale, due too other work being done on our property. Excellent workmanship, good competitive price and great customer service, but most importantly, I found the company very professional with great attention to detail. Would definitely recommend!

Chris Ball & Son roofers were very organised and great at communication. They answered our questions about the original quote and were very good at keeping us informed over the scaffolding. The work was completed in good time and the gully on the front bay relined in lead to our satisfaction. Everyone involved was very polite and kept to appointments. Thanks!"
