Rogue Designs, Modern Interior Design Oxford
A stunning project, we were invited to develop the interior design for this incredible medieval Cotswolds Stone barn alongside FAAP Fowler Architecture & Planning who had achieved planning permission to convert this this listed stone barn in the grounds of a Manor house into habitable space.

The key elements of the client brief were to 1. respect the integrity and age of the building and the organic materials such as the beautiful stone and original timbers, 2. to incorporate a central suspended wood burning stove and 3. to design a sensational, sculptural stone staircase.Designing in curves was a real test for us and a serious eyeopener, but working with stonemason and sculptural staircase expert Ian Knapper was a privilege.

And the results are amazing. The joinery by specialist joinery at Pyments of Campden is all band sawn oak. Lighting design was key, we wanted to best illustrate the original features, and flood the amazing natural stone end gable wall. Following the original renovation work of this much loved Oxford landmark, we got back together to complete a dining room extension.
Services
Rogue Designs is a multi-disciplinary design practice based in Oxford and operating throughout Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds, founded by designers Charlotte Holmes and Paul Turner, and focussed primarily on architectural and design services.
Making is an integral part of our creative process, and often an essential component in achieving our unique and bespoke designs. We are very proud to produce our own collection of Rogue Designs pieces in our workshop, and also to make stunning bespoke furniture and cabinetry on commission. Working to exceptional standards for private collectors, commercial clients and architects, and of course for the sheer love of making!

Rogue Design undertook a complete refurbishment of my house -redesigning and gutting it, adding an extension, underfloor heating, knocking down walls, moving the kitchen, creating an extra bathroom, etc...
I was involved in every step of the design process, and with Charlotte’s keen eye for detail and Paul’s architectural expertise, I’ve ended up with my dream house.
I lived abroad at the time, so the whole process was managed by them, and every step of the way was according to plan, with no unexpected delays.
This was the third house I’d done up, and I’ve never encountered such professionalism

I really cannot rate the dynamic duo Charlotte and Paul at Rogue Designs. They were instrumental in designing our restaurant in the Cotswolds, which was a fairly blank canvas to begin with. Now, thanks to their keen sense of styling, a true understanding of colour, space, line, forms, and aesthetically pleasing interior design, we have a beautiful and much sought after Shangri. la in the country.
True professionals, wonderfully interpersonal with fantastic problem solving skills, I, as a business owner could not rate them highly enough
A genuine 5 stars all round.

Charlotte and Paul, amazing people with the most amazing designs. They have absolutely transformed our flat, from being a 94 year old nan's flat to a modern, spacious and bright flat with great funky design ideas. My flat would not look as good as it does now if it weren't because of their input, style and dedication.
I not only highly recommend them and assure you that you wont be disappointed, but I will definitely still be calling them for more bright ideas in the future!

Charlotte and Paul at Rogue Designs have been a godsend to us throughout our complete refurbishment of a rather dated flat. Always accessible and eager to ensure we were as happy as could be, they have bent over backwards on numerous occasions during the past few months.
Starting from scratch with bare brick walls and a blank bit of a paper, they helped us shape our initial thoughts and vision into something extraordinary. They always asked the right questions and listened intently on our answers, before coming back with the most creative and incredible design ideas; be it maximising space in
