Services
As Standard our delivery provision is a '3 day' service. If you order an item that is in stock it will be dispatched to arrive within 3 days. If you order something we manufacture (gates etc) that are not in stock the current lead time (see top right of our website) will apply and we will contact you once you items are ready for dispatch on a 3 day delivery.
We have a range of styles of Wooden Driveway Gates available for you to choose from. If there is a style you've seen elsewhere, chances are we can make it for you. Send us a photo / sketch and the rough sizes and we can quote it for you. All of our Wooden Driveway Gates can be customised and made-to-measure so feel free to email or phone to discuss.
Sliding gates are sometimes the only way to have a useable gate in a space where swing gates simply won't work or cause inconvenience. Typically a single large sliding gate is installed rather than a pair that move in opposite directions. We have experience in manufacture, supply, installation and automation of sliding gates.
Based on the CAYS design with a few notable improvements the GATEMATE Premium Gate Lock is an excellent choice. It includes the upgraded stainless steel bar that was brought to the CAYS range a few years ago. The fitting of this lock is very straightforward and full instructions are included. These are sold as singles so you need to change the quanitity in the cart for how many locks you would like.
These high quality gate letterboxes have been requested by our customers and so we are now stocking them! The excellent design offers excellent internal space without making the overall product too large. The slanted top protects the contents from rainwater. Two keys are supplied with each box. The box fits onto the rear of the gate and only the flap is visible from the front.

This company and in particularly the owner, Terry Humphreys are pure evil beyond comprehension. He will take your money and you will never see anything from him. I have initiated legal proceedings against him, and have discovered that he currently has 10 court judgements hanging over him, none of which have been settled. He is getting away with robbing people of their money, and unfortunately as the amounts are "low" (£2,500 in my case), he is getting away with it. How he is still legally operating is an utter disgrace. I now cannot afford birthday presents from my children, because this man thinks

I ordered a set of Gates and posts from Terry Humphreys. His communication prior to ordering was excellent, responsive and very helpful. However, once ordered and paid for in full, he couldn't be more the opposite. Terry promised a delivery which never showed and had no explanation. I sent email after email enquiring what was happening but nothing. I then asked for my money back, still no response. I set a time frame to refund in full, or I would seek legal action. No response. I've had to take a Small Claims Court action against him for a refund plus costs. I'll keep

Critical: Punctuality, Responsiveness
We ordered and paid in full for a gate in August (lead time quoted as 12 weeks) and as of December have chased 3 times by email and an additional two times by phone with no response. Can only assume they have gone out of business despite the fact that their website continues to take orders.

Exceptionally poor communication, and doesn’t deliver on the products paid for. Full of excuses constantly and usually a sob story as to why he can’t communicate in a timely fashion. The only time I ever got a quick response was when I went to pay for my gates and then when I said I would log a complaint with my credit card company to retrieve my money.
Even then he couldn’t stick to his promises of a delivery date and failed to communicate even further afterwards to regards to a delivery date or refund.
All I asked from Terry is an update and communication to keep me informed, I wouldn’t

We have all had a tough time with Covid, but good business practice also means keeping customers up to date with what is happening to their orders. It is not good business practice to keep taking peoples money and not providing their products. Due to lack of communication we have had to take a small claims action to recover over £1000, and still we hear nothing. Buyer beware.

The gate delivered is of the highest quality which we are extremely happy with after receiving, The only downside was the slow response to emails etc which we understand Terry is now in the company on his own and had a lot of misfortune during the past year or so, A lot of the negative reviews i feel are slightly unfair considering what the world and himself have gone through, As mentioned We are over the moon with our gate so i believe that holding on with negative reviews and helping the young lad get through these times will be more beneficial to all as we will all get our gates ( Just later

This guy Terry is bad, bad news. He's a liar and he's a cheat and he's a bad egg. Do not use his company. Almost a year on and he still owes me money having not refunded part of an order I finally had to give up on. I ordered 5 gates with hardware. I had to chase him for months and months and months and I got nothing for about 8 months. Finally I got one of the gates. Then about a month later I got three more. The quality was poor. We finished them off by hand ourselves. I still don't have a refund for the fourth gate or any of the hardware. I have never in all my life dealt with a more disreputable

I did post a review before but deleted it subsequently, so please consider this my overall view. Firstly, yes, a lot of the negative reviews are justified, in terms of lack of communication, delays etc. Whilst there are clearly issues, I think a lot is down to some serious misfortunes in the last year or so. Clearly though Terry could have done better with keeping on top of informing customers directly, and I like others was extremely frustrated and considering some form of action. I can report that our gates have now been fitted as of yesterday, and whatever faults Terry has, building and fitting

Like all of the other below reviews I've just read I am another customer waiting for news of their gate and very disappointed by the lack of communication from Terry. I have seen his website update and appreciate the pressure he's under managing all aspects of the business on his own but he promises to reply to emails 'at his earliest opportunity' and that never seems to come! I placed and paid for an order of a gate in early May and have had no news since. I have sent a number of emails, left phone messages and even resorted to text but with no word at all. Extremely frustrating situation. Pleased

UPDATE. The gates have arrived and have been installed. We are really happy with the quality and Terry was very apologetic about the delay. Our advice is that if you’ve ordered gates you’ll get them but you do need to keep in contact and visit if possible. Terry’s problem is in communication rather than workmanship.
