Double and triple glazing in doors and windows is the modern standard today. It is simply defined as two panes of glass with a layer of air or gas between each pane of glass. However, there is much more to it than that. Double-glazing has many advantages. Most obviously, it reduces noise, prevents draughts and retains the heat to keep the house warm during the cold season.
