Services
New, traditional lime application. The work may include the removal of old, damaged plaster or cement based plaster which has had a detrimental impact on the building. Listing started out as a legal system for protecting England's most precious buildings during the second world war, being compiled as an emergency measure to identify what should be protected in post war re-building.
Rob supports clients to present proposals for change to historic and listed buildings and works closely with vested partners to offer knowledge and guidance in all areas of Lime work. Along with providing information around all questions concerning 'Lime Plaster techniques' Rob can advise and suggest solutions to prevent or remove damp using breathable products.
Before we purchased our stone built house, we were aware of the multitude of damp issues and had already found out little bits of information surrounding the use of lime plaster but didn't really know where to start. We were glad to find Rob's website and to see that he was fairly local to us. On the first meeting we could tell that Rob is a very down to earth and friendly character, with lots of invaluable information from his time in the trade.
An extensive project involving various internal lime renovations. Rob was able to be flexible for this client as he was renovating this property in stages as funds allowed. The client understood the needs of Lime and the benefits. Many voids were filled and 3 coat plaster work was applied. New doors and new frames were fitted and we even had to strengthen the ceiling to allow for new ceilings.
