We currently have eight apprentices attending the National Construction College Apprenticeship Scheme at Bircham Newton and a further six apprentices will be starting in 2016. Pictured opposite is a selection of our current apprentices. The CITB appprenticeship scheme covers two years of training to achieve your NVQ Level 2 in Tube & Fitting.
We provide fully trained employees who work within confined spaces and erect scaffolding as defined in SG4 and TG20. Working in confined spaces requires specialist training and our employees are City & Guilds Level 2 Award Working In Confined Spaces - 6150-02 qualified. They also hold a Water Hygiene Card for working on restricted operations within water treatment works.
Working closely with designers, works were completed to meet tight client deadlines, to give safe access to install additional camera booths. The build to install the camera booths required a 5 lift x 111metre x 8 metre birdcage scaffold covering the length of the Jarrold stand. A 9 lift x 6 metre x 4 metre scaffold was required around the existing stairwell to install access to the new camera booths.
Scaffold design drawings and calculations were required prior to commencement of works on site, including a designed loading bay to main tower. Bridge scaffold required over one elevation of the tower to allow the building of the extension as works progressed. Weekly inspections were carried out throughout the project by one of our Advanced Scaffold Inspectors.
