With backgrounds in cabinetmaking and furniture design Simon Lewis and Gordon Hill founded Lewis & Hill furniture with the purpose of creating interiors of style and beauty which are both classic and timeless. From humble beginnings in a domestic garage, the buisness has grown up through 3 further workshop moves to it's current premises, a 6,000sq/ft manufacturing and showroom facility in Rearsby, Leicestershire.
One of our earliest beliefs was that each project, client and commission is unique, and that we would always focus firmly on the individuals' needs to produce a design and product that is truly bespoke. Many of our staff have grown with the business, in both skill and experience, and their use of traditional cabinetmaking technqiues is combined with considered quality materials to produce furniture which is finished to the highest standards.

A friend recommended Lewis & Hill after we had an eye-watering quote from a well-known local kitchen supplier. We can't fault Lewis & Hill on any aspect. Gordon has an understated and thoughtful approach and listened to our preferences and needs. We love the end result! The quality is outstanding. The workmen who fitted the kitchen were friendly and sensitive to the disruption caused.
A C18th barn provided the perfect opportunity for of an extensive renovation and remodelling project. The owners wanted to avoid making their new home too rustic, or traditional, and instead opted to juxtapose warm exposed timber trusses with contemporary European Oak cabinetry with white doors. A textured glass front to the angled island unit and glass staircase added to the contemporary feel.
Only the finest grade hardwood timbers and veneers are used for our cabinets, frames and doors. We specify the highest quality hardware throughout our furniture products, combined with the very latest in modern kitchen technology. Traditional and modern furnituremaking techniques are both employed during construction to ensure all our furniture stand the test of time and the rigours of the home environment.
Each project starts with a blank sheet of paper and that all-important communication with the client. Collaborative by nature, we will listen, advise, inspire and offer solutions based on sound experience and creative diversity. It is this informative and co-operative nature that has created so many long-standing relationships.
At Lewis&Hill we believe our staff are our greatest asset. We train all our cabinetmakers in-house to the same exacting standards, and have had considerable success with our apprenticeship programme. Many of our team have been with us since the very early days of Lewis&Hill, growing and developing as craftsmen and people as we have grown and developed as a business.

The most unprofessional time wasting company I have ever experienced, very strange behaviour indeed. We received a visit to measure and look at the work required, and informed we would receive a quote by the end of the week, after two weeks we chased the quote and received no response so chased again, received no apology or the slightest acknowledgement about the delay and lack of communication but were promised the quote would be sent out in a couple of days and have heard nothing since. We had heard negative comments previously about this company but to our regret did not take them seriously
