Managing Director, Trevor Barnes, has been involved with the construction industry for nearly 40 years. Trevor has a well-established reputation, developed over the years working with architects, design teams and clients. Trevor's track record of being involved in innovative construction means that he has become a 'go-to' contact for many clients who value his expertise and open approach to their projects.
As a Main Contractor, it is our job to manage your project for you, taking away all the anxiety of programming, managing trades and suppliers and mitigating issues. We also manage your expectations and guide you through the decision-making processes, giving you clear timelines for information you need to provide, such as which light fittings or who will supply the kitchen.
Harry Barnes Homes is a recognised Timber Frame specialist within the South East and is the first port-of-call for many architects and agents when they are designing or managing a Timber Frame project. Our Site Managers and the sub-contractors we use have experience working in this type of construction and are able to input useful advice where required.
Harry Barnes Homes is well versed in completing projects which require the use of traditional building methods, such as brick and block construction. Architects frequently opt to use traditional methods when a particular style of building is required either by the client or to fulfil planning constraints.
At Harry Barnes Homes, we have specialist experience with Green Build projects such as Straw Bale and Green Roof structures, as well as the application of Green Energy options. Work within the Code for Sustainable Homes and Paragraph 55 frameworks is becoming increasingly popular with Planning Departments, which are striving to meet their Green Build targets and we can accommodate both.
