The J Rotherham story began with Henry Rotherham, founding master mason, in the early 20th century. Henry later passed the business on to Joseph Rotherham senior, who also inherited his father's remarkable ability with stone and eye for detail. In 1973, Joe Rotherham junior joined him and together the father and son partnership began to expand the company.

Great company until something goes wrong!! They deserve a zero rating but I'm unable to score that. Our installed worktops are too tight to fit the sink as enough clearance hasn't been left. We are only talking a few mm. So contacted J Rotherhams immediately after the plumber left and sent a form and photos asap as requested. Didn't think it was too hard or would take too long to sort out someone to come back and just make the cutout a fraction larger. Well despite several calls and emails to them, I have heard nothing from them at all. The call handlers aren't able to tell me when the issue is

A very efficient and professional service. Great communication by both email and text throughout the process, and both the planner and the fitters called in advance on the day of the planning appointment and fitting.
The attention to detail of the planners was amazing. Taking time and trouble to discuss the best place to join the work top for it to be both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
The fitters were not only skilled at their job they spent half an hour cleaning and polishing the worktops, sink and upstands and clearing up their rubbish after the installation.

I am really impressed with the service you provided. The template fitter was very friendly, seeking clarification throughout; even showing an example of the granite worktop.
On the day of the actual fitting, the fitters were polite, helpful and very professional. They completed the hob to a high standard. I am well impressed with my new worktop. It added the final finishing touches to an already beautiful kitchen. Thank you so much to everyone involved in making this a very smooth and enjoyable experience.

After reading some of the bad reviews we were a bit worried about the service we were expecting. Well here's our experience. Template was done on time. Slight delay in the manufacturing process ( 2 weeks). Fitters arrived on the date we were given. Guys were from Dundee, can't remember their names Unfortunately. Fitting team couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The worktops and upstands were fitted beautifully in no time. We went for Highland white finish. (Quartz) Good choice kitchen is stunning. Would have no problem recommending J Rotherham for your worktops

Our new corian worktop looks great apart from some small scratches on the corner. I contacted J Rotherham about this around 12 days ago and was asked to send photos. Chased them up today and was told our case was never logged as the person who was dealing with it had left! Hope it will be fixed soon. Also had to chase up the cleaning kit that was meant to be supplied with the worktop that the fitter said would be sent in the post. Shame about these problems as the person who came to measure up and the fitter were very friendly and professional.

J Rotherham were great from start to finish. We were a bit dubious buying a new kitchen and having a different company fit our work tops but we did not need to worry. J Rotherham sent us easy to understand emails advising us what needed to be done and kept us up to date with the process involved. The staff that measured up and those that fitted were so friendly and professional and the quality of our quartz worktops and splash back are second to none. It sets off our kitchen beautifully and everyone comments on how lovely it is. Thank you J Rotherham, couldn't recommend enough.

The worktop templater spent a good amount of time working out where it would be best to make the cuts for the worktop which covers quite a large area. Very professional delivery team, granite worktop was installed in very little time at all. We were left with instructions about aftercare and advice on when the worktop would be safe to use as normal. The worktop itself is beautiful and the installation finish is great. Overall experience has been excellent! Would definitely recommend.

Very disappointed with the amount of time it is taking to get my worktop fitted. Was told by Wren it would take a total of 7 days. Took a few weeks for the template appointment. Template was carried out on 9 July and was told it was going into design. Still waiting for an email to confirm the design before it goes into production over 2 weeks later, at this rate I won’t be getting my worktop installed any time soon. No hob and an unfinished kitchen! One unhappy customer!

Shambles, poor service, super slow lead time. On hold anywhere between 20mins and an hour to speak with someone there. 6 times they have cancelled or failed to make arranged delivery dates. 1st time the 2 countertop did not align as they were cut incorrectly and now they finally arrived after 6 weeks without a Kitchen the quartz countertop is of poor installation most likely caused by inaccurate template or poor cutting. Overhang ranges from 2mm to 20mm in parts. Correct should be 10mm. The join should be barely noticeable and is 2 to 3mm wide. The corner where they join do not align with the kitchen
