Hello, my name is John McDermott. I'm a local Grimsby family man with a passion for solving your drainage issues. I've spent around 10 years honing my craft as a drainage engineer throughout the east riding of Yorkshire and north east Lincolnshire region. Working for the water board and other private drainage companies, it gave me a direct insight into the industry.
We know how disruptive a damaged drain can be to your home or business. That's why we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week- and our technicians are only ever a phone call away. CCTV drain surveys are invaluable when it comes to determining faults within your drainage system. We will conduct the fault-finding survey thoroughly.
Day to day life can easily cause blocked drains. Food waste down the sink, wet wipes flushed down the toilet, hair in the plughole, autumn leaves falling in the drains and roots finding their way into your drains. All these little things can soon build-up leaving you with trickling water, smelly drains or bigger problems.
Blocked toilets are a frustrating and messy experience for any home or commercial building resident. Toilets are not designed to cope with large amounts of waste such as nappies, sanitary towels, tampons, baby wipes etc. Other causes can be a clip on toilet freshener holders being flushed down the toilet, tree roots, broken pipes, and caustic soda.
Limescale is insoluble in water and forms on the exposed surfaces of urinals and in the urinal pipe. Uric salts can cause additional blockages from build up on the toilet and urinal surfaces. Descaling a urinal will clean the pipe to the base of the trap although partially degraded scale can block the drain as it fall off the pipe.

Can’t recommend this company highly enough! John came round on a very cold, wet December night to help us when a drain blocked quite spectacularly and was professional, friendly and did a great job quickly. He came back a week later when we had another issue (nothing to do with the first) and once again sorted it for us quickly with a smile on his face. Highly recommend!

Prompt professional service. Would highly recommend John. Nothing was too much trouble, stated pricing upfront & no matter how long the job took to clear, that is what the job cost. Even offered to liaise with Anglian Water with follow up work. He couldn't have made it any easier. Top bloke, was very impressed.

I cannot praise John enough . He was calm , polite and informative throughout , even though it turned into a very difficult job . He was working in a very confined space which made his job even harder , and he must have been very uncomfortable . He just ploughed on until he got the job done . I was very impressed , and the bill was very reasonable indeed . I have no hesitation in recommending you highly .

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I had no idea what I was asking for when I initially made contact with the company and John talked me through the services he could offer and prices upfront. John came within the hour (after-hours) and didn’t rush the job. He did absolutely everything to help resolve our problem and was successful. Professional from start to finish, as well as friendly and clear. He explained everything he was doing, step by step. Do not ring a large company, ring JET2CLEAR. Absolutely fantastic.
