Service providers that use the terms 'architectural designer' or general 'architectural service' is not clearly defined by law and therefore minimises the protection you have. The use of the title Architect is considered a quality mark for the standard of service, care and persons qualification to do the things that architects do.

It is protected by law and may only be used by registered persons, the register for which is overseen by the Architects Registration Board (arb). A professional Architect will be expected to:- Hold appropriate degree level qualifications and be registered with ARB, hold an appropriate level of Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) cover and maintains CPD (Continuing Professional Development) training.

The ARB and RIBA websites offer further guidance on the benefits of using a Registered Architect. The majority of our clients require our input on their residential needs. So, whether you fancy changing your home, or are planning a Commercial housing project, we've listed the typical services we offer.

Positive: Professionalism
I would absolutely recommend Sarah and Edite. Several years after our project was completed it has delivered on exactly what we were looking for when we first discussed the project with Sarah and it has transformed our use of the downstairs of our house.
