Based in Eccleston, near Chorley, J.D.Kent Complete Building Service is a member of the Federation of Master Builders and abide by their Code of Practice. JD Kent Builders are a well established General Building Company based in Eccleston, and are a member of the Federation of Master Builders. We specialise in all aspects of building, including house extensions, new builds, housing renovations, brickwork, property maintenance, garage conversions, bespoke pizza ovens and loft conversions.
We first contacted JD Kent after receiving several verbal recommendations from previous clients that Jonathan had done work for. Initially we asked for a quote on a small extension, however, we were also having new windows and doors which Jonathan was happy to quote for. The quote was received within a few days and was very competitive.
This project in Whittle-Le-Woods was for construction of a 2-storey wrap round Extension. Upstairs, the customer wanted to add an en-suite bathroom, to the master bedroom. And make the rear bedroom larger. Downstairs the lounge was to be made bigger by knocking out and supporting the existing back walls on steel beams, so the lounge flows unnoticeably into the extension.
J.D.Kent are fully time served in Stonework. Working on many random and coursed stone properties. We had a full bungalow refurbishment carried out by this company and cannot over estimate how good the service was from from John ( J D Kent ) ...when we asked John to quote he spent a lot of time talking through our requirements and advising us on what works well ( and not) along with the technical elements associated with our work. Once we had confirmed he provided us a price and talked us through every element which we was more than happy with , They started on the agreed date and the work progressed really well as per Johns timescales and when we had problems ( through no fault of Johns) he

Jon undertook a kitchen remodelling project for us which included utility room construction, movement of the back door, removal if three load bearing walls and instillation of supporting steels. He linked with architect, kitchen fitters, and building regulation inspectors making the whole project stress free for us. The work was completed to a really high standard. The new wall construction outside looks as if it has been there for years and melds well with the surrounding structures. All the services such as electrics and plumbing for the kitchen fitters were all in the absolutely correct position

We would highly recommend Jon and his team. We had our single storey rear extension built in the first half of 2020, when we had 2 major storms and a pandemic to contend with and can not fault his work and commitment during this challenging time. We didn't change a lot from the original design but the changes we did make during the build were no… hassle for Jon who was happy to accommodate. His communication was spot on throughout, any concerns or queries were responded to very quickly. If we need any building work done in the future we would not hesitate in asking Jon.

Jon has just replaced our ageing conservatory with a stone extension to link through to our kitchen and has done a faultless job with the minimum of fuss. His team were on site early every day and and put in full days even in bad weather. We are really pleased with the finished product and would recommend Jon to anyone else looking for a reliable and experienced builder.

Jon has recently completed our extension and we are thrilled with the end result. From his initial quote and expert advice we hoped Jon and his team would be easy to work with and we were not disappointed. Jon project managed a lot of the build providing us with plasterers, roofers, joiners who have all been friendly and efficient in their trades. We couldn't recommend Jon enough if you are thinking of doing work to your home. We now have the house we've always wanted and are very grateful to have had an easy going, hard working guy on side.
