Services
All our curtains are constructed to the highest standards using traditional skills and techniques learnt from my grandmother. All hems are double and hand stitched with pocketed lead weights sewn into the mitred corners and joining seams. The linings and interlinings are attached through all layers and side edges are hand sewn.
Roman blinds are another particular strength of Jenny Hook, creating a stylish, practical and economical solution for dressing your windows. As with the curtains, they are made in the traditional and best way - the rod pockets are sewn into the lining (no tapes used) with no stitching visible through to the front of the blind.
Alongside the expert curtain and blind making there are always the added extras to think about. Cushions, trimmings, tiebacks, and throws can really enhance a room scheme and bring all the elements together. All these can be included in the complete service offered by Jenny Hook. Jenny Hook now has a small but expanding gift area at the workshop with the items stocked mainly inspired by fabric design.
Jenny Hook has been making curtains now for nearly 20 years and has gained a wealth of experience along the way. Originally working from home in her spare time for friends and family, production increased dramatically as her reputation grew. Jenny is now conveniently based at Broad Farm in Hellingly, near Hailsham, East Sussex.
