In most instances if you want to extend or add to your home you will need planning permission, however, you may be able to extend under permitted development. In which case you may only need a certificate of lawful development. Once you have decided that you need permission the next stage is to make an application to your Local Authority.
One of the most important parts of a successful project is the quality of the design solutions. Home Plan Design Services has IN HOUSE Architectural Designers who will make sure that your ideas and plans are respected. On occasions we may feel that it is beneficial to get the opinion of your Local Authority on your ideas.
Rod and the Home Plan team did a great job on our extension. He produced very imaginative drawings and managed the whole process including obtaining planning consent and finding a good builder. excellent customer service. Rod was very responsive and regularly followed up our application with the council to ensure it goes through. All 3 applications were approved thanks to Rod professionalism. i was kept up to date throughout the process and Rod always took the time to explain things to me and return my calls. i totally recommend home plan design services!

We wanted to do our loft conversion in March this year . We choose Mr Navarrette and that was the biggest mistake we made. He doesnt listen clients. He Is driven by money. He Is Very unprofessional. When we wasent happy with his drawings he didnt correct them but he took us to court instead. He suggested that we Dont want to pay him because we changed our mind, maybe we found someone who can do the job cheaper or we dont have enough money to do this conversion . I can only add that none of those Its true. He doesnt understand that problem its the service he provides. Today we should meet at the

Rod and his structural engineer provided wrong and incomplete calculations. Structural engineer blamed Rod and didn’t want to know. Followed up with Rod but zero response. Now instructed competent structural engineer and architect but at additional cost and a month delay on our dream extension.
