Services
We can advise on planting schemes from individual specimen trees & shrubs, hedge planting to large planting schemes. We can provide advice on container grown or bare root stock plants together with appropriate timing to ensure new plants have the best start in their new home. We can supply and install optional weed control fabric covered with 50-80mm mulch usually consisting of wood chip.
Our consultants can guide you through the procedure providing an accurate arboricultural description of proposed works together with a map indicating the position in accordance with British Standard 3998:2010. Acting as agents on your behalf we can submit a formal application to carry out works on protected trees.
We are pleased to offer for hire our agricultural specification Mercedes-Benz Unimog complete with bespoke 3 way tipping body. Our Schliesing 440ZX PTO chipper is the perfect partner with more than enough power provided by the 170hp Unimog engine allowing timber up to 220mm diameter to be processed with ease.

I received 4 quotes to have my trees trimmed and Acorn by far was the fastest, friendliest and most affordable! From the estimate visit, to working with the office staff to the crew that came out and did the work, it was all outstanding! The crew showed up on time, was respectful, did a great job on the trees and left the yard all cleaned up and looking great! I will definitely use Acorn again!!

We used Acorn about 2 year ago for some fruit tree pruning and also cutting away some larger branches that went over the fence line into our neighbors house. They were prompt, helpful, and very friendly. We definitely appreciated the work they did and are getting a second estimate soon to have a larger tree significantly reduced.

Found their ad in a magazine. Needed work done on trees that are now taller than my house. Expected the "free estimate" visit to be a high pressure sales pitch on all the services that I "need." It was not. Dean provided a humble, realistic assessment of my trees' condition, and some very practical options. No pressure. They have now done work at my house twice. Excellent work for a reasonable price. All staff were highly professional and efficient. Cleaned up well after taking down several trees and trimming others. Wore masks when close to us in compliance with state health guidelines. Highly recommend and will definitely hire them again!

I would recommend this company to anyone. If you want excellent work and value for money, don't look elsewhere. Stuart and Allison are friendly and helpful and Tom and Mike have been absolutely brilliant, they did an amazing job with the pruning of our tree, they are professional, clean and very good at what they do! The Acorn team did an excellent job for us. We asked them to remove a redwood tree that was just several feet from our house and the tree was over 40 feet tall. They did a wonderful job; they were safe; they were fast; they cleaned up in the front of the house, and they ground the roots for us. I just can't say enough good about them. They were friendly and professional. We will definitely use them for any tree work that we have.

I have had Acorn out a couple of times during the past two years. Jay came out to give me estimates before I signed up both times. We had a lot of tree trimming the first time, and they did a beautiful job, very patient and very interested in pleasing me. They even removed a large tree, put it in the grinder, and cleaned up all the mess.
Last year I had an extremely knowledgeable arborist come out and give me the "bad news" that one of our prized oaks was dying. He did some fertilizing treatment, but was honest and said that eventually the tree would die. He was gracious as he discussed other
