Energy Care offers a complete, one stop property maintenance and property services solution, handling all aspects of gas, electrics, plumbing, interior and exterior maintenance, as well as providing inventories & property condition reports. We carry out every aspect of every job to the highest possible standard and we pride ourselves on the quality of work that we produce.

Our office in Teignmouth town centre is home to our skilled team of local, fully-trained and experienced engineers living all across Devon. We're passionate about customer service and that's why we're open to visitors at any time - we love to meet as many of our customers as possible. Whatever the circumstances, we will always be polite, efficient, helpful and friendly.

At Energy Care, our overriding priority is to always make sure our clients and customers are safe. That is why we guarantee that all of our engineers and operatives are properly trained, certified and insured.
Services
We provide free surveys and quotations for central heating and boiler installations and replacements. We are not tied to any boiler manufacturers so we can offer impartial advice based purely on how best to meet your requirements. Every home is different in both its construction and how it is used.
We use the same survey and quotation procedure for boiler replacements as we do for new installations. Boilers generally have a life of between about 10 and 20 years depending on the model and on how they have been used and maintained. Old boilers tend to be inefficient, so cost a lot more to run.
A recent Gas Safe Register survey found 1 in 6 homes checked had an unsafe gas appliance - with an astonishing 1 in 3 gas fires found to be unsafe. All our servicing is completed by properly trained and registered engineers for a fixed cost, and if we service your appliance we gurantee a rapid response to any breakdowns.
Gas safety checks are a very large part of our business and we carry out many hundreds of them every year. Completing them properly requires high levels of expertise, together with knowledge and experience of the huge range of gas appliances now available from hundreds of different manufacturers. We offer fixed costs for Landlords and Homeowners Gas Safety Checks based on the number of gas appliances in a property.
All our engineers are fully trained and experienced in fault finding on all makes of boilers, fires and other gas appliances including high efficiency condensing boilers. We understand that all breakdowns are urgent, especially in winter. If you are a regular customer and have your gas appliance serviced by us we guarantee a rapid response to any breakdown.

Won't ever use this company again. Asked for new bath taps to be fitted and plumber replaced sink taps instead and left us with a leak we didn't have before. Threw a rubber seal down the loo and ruined our bath panel.

Terrible customer service, I was recommended energy care by the agency selling my parents property, at first the man I spoke to was helpful (for one phone call only) but after he had performed the initial service (gas safety check) and told me about the issues that were wrong, he was impossible to get hold of, and whenever i spoke to him I was made to feel like an inconvenience. Plus I am not convinced that I the company did not replace something that didn't need replacing, I have no proof of this but not living locally to my parents, all I can say is that the programmable RF room thermostat was

Dreadful service. Didnt turn up for appointment and when phoned, they didnt really care. Rude, obnoxious and untrustworthy! I'd recommend avoiding at all costs!

Martin and his team fitted our new boiler two years ago, first class service then and since . If we ever need a Plummer first people we would ring always arrive when they say. Would I recommend 100% yes.

Replaced a pair of nearly 40 year old boilers - a semi commercial project.
Martyn was very patient and talked me through it, answering all my questions and providing a competitive quote. They delivered on both the quote and the time scale.

I would not recommend this company at all. On more than one occasion I have taken a full day off work (after being told that he will arrive any time between 10am and 4pm) and then had him phone at 4.30pm to say that he isn’t coming. They ‘fixed’ our shower, which has not worked properly since and we can count on our boiler breaking down after every service. Martyn is pushy about appointments (even though he is unreliable) AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Martyn and his team have always been very efficient when resolving any property management issues at a rental property we have in Totnes. IT IS 19.11.PM NOW....THIS COMPANIES EMPLOYEE WAS GOING TO BE HERE AFTER 3PM. NO SIGN YET OR PHONE CALL. I PHONED AROUND 4PM TO ASK FOR A TIMING ROUGH IDEA N WAS TOLD MAYBE AS LATE AS 6PM ISH AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD GET A CALL WHEN HE WAS ON WAY TO ME AND SAID I WOULD STILL LIKE THEM TODAY N NOT TO RESCHEDULE ...... THEY ARE AWARE I HAVE A MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES WHICH CAUSE HUGE PROBLEMS IF SOMEONE HAS TO ENTER THE HOUSE . I HAVE TO ASK THEM TO WEAR A COVERALL SUIT N OVERSHOES AND I HAVE TO SHADOW THEM WITH ANTIBACTERIAL SPRAY N WIPES N CLEAN TOOLS ETC. I KNOW IT'S ILLOGICAL BUT IT IS WAT IT IS. OCD

Poor communication and shady practice. Booked them to quote me some work but stipulated that they DO NOT arrive during the school run times of 15:00- 16:30. They then arrived during this time 15:15 when I was just leaving the house. I explained that I was leaving and I was not willing to let some one into my house unattended. Now trying to charge me for work they did not carry out! Disgraceful. Buyer beware.
