Whether you are undertaking a complete refurbishment, taking over a new building, or you simply need to create more room in your current place, we will help you get it right. Our projects range from complete fit-outs to 'front of house' reception areas to complex storage and IT rooms. We bring a new approach to domestic 'design and build'. We specialise in the conversion, remodeling and rebuilding of delapidated buildings, including barn conversions. From drainage, concrete and steel to floor finishes, bath taps and doorknobs, we will design, specify, engineer and build your house from the ground up.
Commercially, examples of our work include bespoke reception desks, board room tables and dealing desks. Domestically, one off commissions to batch production pieces for retail. The key to effective furniture design, no matter how creative the concept, is an in-depth understanding of construction and materials.
We are in no doubt that project management starts at the design stage. With every detail being considered, drawn, specified and communicated right from the outset, the foundations for a smooth build process are laid. Baily design can manage the build process in two ways. As a traditional tender process with an appointed contractor, refered to as project management, or managing the building process itself, refered to as construction management.
From 1985 to 1999 Christopher Baily worked for leading London design consultancies, as well as 'design and build' and construction companies, both designing and managing medium size projects for blue chip clients. In 1999 he set up Baily Design and has broadened his expertise into school design and domestic builds.
