Having worked in the industry since I left school I wanted to expand my skills and ambitions by owning my own business, providing a service to other families, individuals, and businesses. Having worked in many different sectors of the construction industry I had seen how things like information and details had been missed on the job and wanted to create a company that could inform and guide people as well as carry out the work.

Liam did a great job with our alcove shelving. The job did take a little longer than expected due to our house being Victorian with wonky walls but Liam’s attention to detail ensured a perfect fit. He kept us fully informed throughout and we are really happy with the result. We will certainly use Liam again in the future.

Liam and McGinley’s Carpentry and Construction came to our rescue when our building project took a dramatic turn.
We had contracted a builder friend of a friend to undertaker the removal of a structural wall on the basis that they were willing to do it at a low cost however it very soon became apparent how poor a choice this was. It became evident very early on that the builder that we had brought in either did not have the knowledge and/or the skills to complete the job in line with what was required and this was on a piece of the house that was holding up the floor above.
When we observed

We’ve now used the services of McGinleys Carpentry & Construction for 3 separate projects in our home, as the service that they provide has each time been exemplary.

Liam recently completed the fitting of two double glazed doors and a double glazed utility door.
From competitive quote to job completion Liam was professional, courteous and friendly.
He turned up on time each day and the finished job was completed to a high standard, leaving the job clean & tidy.
Liam unexpectedly disposed of the old wooden doors which was not quoted for but done at no extra cost to myself.
I would certainly recommend Liam and use his services again.

Liam did some work on our house as part of a refurb, which includes various tasks including; fitting fire doors and necessary door stops, new skirting and architraves. Whilst here he also carried out simple but effective modifications to a bespoke fitted wardrobe which saved us from having one fitted from scratch.
From the get go, Liam was highly informative about key information on fitting fire doors, which made us consider things which we hadn't previously. He did a great job and all the while was very personable and a pleasure to have here doing the work. I would 100% recommend.

We would like to express our delight with our new kitchen recently fitted by McGinleys Carpentry and Construction. We were impressed with the high standard of work and the emphasis on accuracy and 'getting it right'. Having been a keen DIY person over many years I am always a little nervous about having any work carried out for me by anyone else but on this occasion any concerns I may have had were immediately dismissed as soon as work started and I saw the methodical way everything progressed. The work was completed within your estimated timescale and your efforts to keep costs down wherever possible

Liam and the team at McGinleys were absolutely brilliant with planning & completion of our kitchen project in 2016. Liam is very detailed and a perfectionist, he is incredibly skilled & knowledgeable and helped us design our perfect kitchen, giving us ideas on how to achieve the best result. The works were done to schedule and he kept us updated daily. Liam and the team were so good, we asked him to help with a second project in 2017, once again, he was really helpful & advised us on many parts of the project as well as fitting a new kitchen & flooring. When I was experiencing problems in my flat from a tenant above me, McGinley’s Carpentry & Construction were so professional, supportive and helpful. they offered their knowledge and experience to give advice and information in addition to the work needing to be carried out so that I may gain a satisfactory outcome. Liam went above and beyond, of which I am very grateful for. Great team from the initial site survey to the actual completion of the project. Coming up with useful ideas and not phased by 'small' changes requested by ourselves or by the dreaded building inspector! Have no hesitation in recommending them and will be our first port of call for our future projects.
