The founders were frustrated by the lack of interest shown to domestic projects by the large practices for whom they worked, often pricing these jobs beyond the means of the ordinary client. The result is the increase of 'Private works' by inexperienced, unqualified individuals, turning out poor quality work without the benefit of full P.I. insurance or the time to put thing right when things go wrong.
We consider our practice can redress the balance. We have proved that good design, through experience and thought, is not expensive or a drawn out process. We believe that our Clients form part of the 'Team', where nothing is finalised without their consent, our mission is to guide not instruct, offering advice and solutions to your desires and wishes.
Most of all we adhere to your budget, there is no point in giving you a design that is not affordable. We also liaise with the local Planners from day one, resulting in a very high rate of success with Planning Applications (though Planning cannot be guaranteed).

Services
We work to the RIBA fee plan for pricing work-stages, All projects are broken down into 5 stages. You can use all or only the relevant stages for your project. We always visit you on site to discuss the project, offer advice and asses the works. This stage is always free of charge, it allows us to evaluate the works and set a fee price for the relevant stages.
Meet with Client on site and discuss project, Clients ideas and wishes and establish brief. Set and agree fee quotation and issue in writing to Client for written approval to proceed. Confirm agreement, time scales etc. Check Planning standards and records for property or site, meet with Planners if necessary, inspect all Planning conditions for area and Local Authority Area plans for local regulations.
