Mr George C Johnson, the founder of the company, had many years experience within the trade working as a representative for Manders Paints before taking the decision to go it alone, and when he opened his shop the emphasis was very much on having everything that a professional decorator could require in stock or readily available, and being able to answer any decorating question quickly and with expert knowledge.

G C Johnson is a fantastic resource and provides a professional and unique service . We received endless help and advice recently during a kitchen renovation and extension. Tina in particular used her designer background to help me choose colours ( paint) , flooring and accessories . I wouldn’t have the kitchen I have today without her support and guidance .

GC Johnson supplied and mixed all of the paint for our refurb and we're very happy with the results. We went with a combination of colour-matched Tikkurila for most of the colours then original Farrow and Ball for the pinks as they seemed to come out less closely matched when we did testers. Johnsons also just delivered some extra tins we needed in ridiculously rapid time, a matter of hours after I ordered. Thanks guys!

This shop is a gem! Great advice and great value. Having given me a beautiful paint colour and fabrics to match my teenage son changed his mind as the decorators were starting. I popped up and got an equally great colour scheme and the most perfect material to match this morning and I am delighted and all to budget. They just listen and pick what you want as if they can read your mind and that’s a skill as I only knew what I didn’t want! I will post a pic once the room is complete. So pleased 😃

We use both the interior design/wallpaper department as well as the paint/DIY department all the time. So helpful, friendly and knowledgeable in both areas. It's what shops used to be like in the good old days - they provide an excellent personal service and their deliveries throughout Covid19 have been invaluable to us. Would thoroughly recommend.
