Opening windows and skylights for natural ventilation helps prevent the moisture condensing on windows and pooling on sills. So buy a special paint for fresh plaster, or simply give it two coats of a cheap white matt emulsion. This way you cut down on the amount of expensive finishing coloured paint you will need to buy.
