Services
We moved to North Devon in 1992 whist still involved with two fireplace businesses in Cheshire, retail and installation in one and wholesale and manufacturing in the other. Our aim is to provide a complete service from start to finish, helping you to make the right choices when purchasing your fire and fireplace, one of the main reasons why our business has grown over the years.
Unlike many vendors, we can remove the existing fireplace and make good. We install false chimney breasts, flue systems, flue liners, chimney pots and cowls. As certified Gas Safe Engineers we install gas runs, gas fires and stoves. We install most types of fireplaces in various materials including electric fires and suites.
Electric fires have improved so much over the years, with several different types of flame effect, Ribbon Flame. LED or even Optymist from manufacturers such as Gazco, Flamerite, Dimplex and Burley. We have electric fires to suit all homes. We have space saving wall hung electric fires and suites, traditional or contemporary free standing or inset fires and stoves.
As a fireplace specialist we offer a wide range of fires to suit all different styles of fireplaces - using Natural Gas and LPG. Choose from Gazco, Paragon, Crystal Fires, Verine, and Flavel just to name a few. Whether your requirements are for contemporary or traditional appearance, open or glass-fronted fires, conventional flue, or for homes without chimneys, we have a fire for you.

We took ages to decide how to plan our gas log stove into our sitting room. I looked around but couldn't find any help until we met Dave and his wife at Feature Fireplaces. We had such thoughtful help and practical ideas and visits to the house. Couldn't have had better care and attention. The stove went in today and it was efficiently and tidily done and with good humour and patience. We are delighted with the result. I've worked in property for years and could not recommend these guys more highly. Thank you SO much!

Dave at Feature Fireplaces has installed two gas fires and a gas stove in our home over the years. These have all been done to a high standard. Dave is extremely knowledgable and meticulous. One of the fires was installed in an usual shape of a Victorian fireplace. Dave created a custom blanking plate to allow the fitting of the fire and retain the aesthetic of the fireplace. Strongly recommended.

Would have been a Lovely product if it was correct, it's a shame about the attitudes of some of the staff, very poor customer service, and the bad workmanship, not checking orders properly before installing, mistakes that shouldn't happen. As soon as they realized it was wrong they should have stopped work not carried on and then bodged it. Very rude and passing blame to customer, and won't take responsibility. Customer is 75 year old lady. Still won't take responsibility, It is the wrong size they assumed it would be okay.. it's not. Only offered a bodge as a solution not what she wanted and wasn

Feature fireplaces fitted a new fire in our new house and my wife and I couldn't be happier. Dave is an absolute perfectionist and goes above and beyond what I would expect of any specialist tradesman (often at his own time and expense). Punctual, reliable, honest and ridiculously industrious.
We were given regular updates from knowledgeable and friendly staff at the shop and the price was extremely reasonable having done our price comparisons beforehand added to the level of service on offer. 10/10 would definately recommend!
