The scheme accredits DJM Services to install new water networks and service connections to a standard suitable for adoption by the host water utility company. Our WIAPS qualification means we can also carry out trench inspections - in line with Water Regulations.

Save money - currently paying design fee for DCWW schemes we are carrying out as Self-lay. Self-Lay providers are accredited to the Water Industry Regulations Scheme, administered by Lloyd's Register on behalf of the water industry. All DJM employees hold the SHEA (Water), National Water Hygiene Card and First Aid trained.
The developer or the SLO makes contact with water company to confirm the feasibility of supplying the proposed development and provides the information necessary for the water company to do a technical evaluation. The water company confirms its ability to supply, and specifies the point of connection and validity period of the information.
This test is carried out during the commissioning phase of a new water mains and determines if a leak is present on a length of pipe. This testing is a requirement to commission new water mains and must be completed before the mains can be chlorinated. Pressurization is completed using a hydrostatic test pump which is sized specifically for the type and size of pipe to be tested.
