Services
Roughcasting or Rendering is used on external walls to form a decorative and water tight feature to your property. 2. Roughcasting - This is a dry aggregate thrown onto a wet surface to catch the stones to form a decorative finish. 3. Wetcast - This is a slurry mix of aggregates and cement thrown onto a dry or wet finish.
Renovating plaster's are intended for replastering after the successful installation of a new damp proof course. Walls which have had a defective damp proof course (or none at all) are likely to contain hygroscopic salts, which can continue to be a source of dampness, even after rising damp is prevented, because they absorb atmospheric moisture.
Polished marble plasters provide sumptuous, enduring finishes which can be enhanced by a host of textures and colours. Marble plaster offers a completely bespoke and luxurious finish to walls and ceilings. Its applications are endless, it has a zero fire rating and can also be used in wet areas or rooms with a high moisture content.

Rendering a chimney required co-ordination with scaffolding, good preparation, attention to detail and safety. All these features were managed by Roddy and the team to bring a timely, quality repair. Always good communication and a company keen to maintain high standards and a positive can-do attitude. Professional, reliable and skilled.

I am really pleased with the work that the team did in a very confined space complicated by a boiler and central heating pipes. They took away all the rubble and left the room in a neat and tidy state. The proof will be if the long term damp problems have now been resolved but I would have no hesitation in recommending Rowallan and Ayrshire Plastering Services to anyone seeking similar services.

A pair of time wasters...
About 2 months ago I phoned and got Billy out for a quote. At the time I first called I was advised that it would be 3-4 week wait, I was fine with that, got the quote done, agreed the price and said I was happy to go ahead with the work.
The communication system with Ayrshire Plastering is akin to a Chuckle Brothers sketch, whenever you phone either Roddy or Billy, they either tell you to call the other one or that the other one will call you back (they never do). I was told 2 weeks wait 4 weeks ago, and when I rang back after the 2 weeks Billy Chuckle said “I’ll
