Services
We can design and make furniture for bedrooms, offices, kitchen and more all in solid wood. All of our furniture is crafted with traditional techniques, and allows you to choose your wood from oak and pine to many more. We refurnish, repair and alter solid wood furniture as well as starting from scratch.
We offer many ranges of furniture with a variety of designs to suit everyone. Within each range are lots of different pieces furniture for every room. Within dining there is tables, chairs, benches, islands, sideboards and more. In the lounge range there is, sofas, stools, lamps, cabinets, sideboards, mirrors, display cases and much more.
Our kitchens are fully bespoke with the ability to have any design and size you wish. Initially to help us design your dream kitchen, we ask you to bring in approximate measurements of your room, along with a collage made from photographs in magazines, which gives us an idea of what you have in mind.
We can use your existing staircase to create your dream oak/ oak & glass staircase. It takes around 3 days to complete this process during which you are able to use the stairs- there is no need for major structural work and the associated disturbance. When we finish you will have a beautiful staircase carried out in a professional manner.

When we moved into our new home, the wooden kitchen was in such a state with sections of rot from prolonged water damage and the worktops were peeling and sticky to touch. We found information from the kitchen install some 15 years previously by Journeys End. Due to the quality of the the initial kitchen they supplied, the team with their expert workmanship were able to fully refurb our kitchen and return it to its former glory. We were so happy with the team, their knowledge, experience and attention to detail speaks for itself. Matt made the whole experience easy with great advice and guidance

Total transformation and great craftsmanship. We had out kitchen replaced and a solid oak bookcase built in our dining area. You will have to wait (they are unsurprisingly very busy) and will it will not be cheap. The whole process was relatively painless despite various lock downs and social distancing. Matt kept in contact throughout and we had to move the dates (twice) which Matt accommodated. I had a gas engineer in after the fitting and his comment was total quality (and you can rest assured he has seen a few kitchens in his time). In the end what you get is bespoke and unique.

We have been very lucky to have had 2 kitchens designed, crafted and fitted by Matt and Fred (one in our new home and one in our old home). Both kitchens transformed our homes. We have also had kitchen sideboards, wardrobes and a front door made by them. Each and every time the craftsmanship has been to the highest standard. Nothing is ever too much trouble. We can not recommend them highly enough. They are both friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. We have used their services so many times over the years they are like old family friends!

Saw a sofa on display from this company in Winchester market and it was just what we were looking for. Emailed Matt at Journeys End a few times for more information and each time he was so helpful answering my questions about measurements and material, there was never any pressure. Ordered the sofa and we weren’t disappointed. A Saturday delivery and everything unpacked and set up for us with all the rubbish taken away. Fantastic sofa and superb quality, looks even better in situ.

We had a bespoke chest of drawers made by them several years ago and decided to approach them for new fitted wardrobes and freestanding chest of drawers this year. You simply could not find a more professional and lovely company. Fred and Matt have just fitted a kitchen for me, this is the second kitchen they’ve designed, crafted and installed for me and I’m delighted once again. I had a couple of quotes for comparison and I know I’ve got the best quality kitchen possible. We have used Matt and Fred for many years and they have transformed our home .Bespoke kitchen ,wooden flooring , fitted wardrobes ,wall panelling,a bar cabinet with fridge and lighting and more recently a granite dining table top .Matt always listens provides his advice whilst making sure your ideas are considered .If you want good service and a fabulous end result go to Journeys End - you will not be disappointed.
