Services
We offer a traditional way of chimney sweeping combined with using modern rods, brushes & scrapers to remove soot and debris from the chimney, throughout the sweep we use a professional chimney sweep vacuum to minimize the soot escaping into the room. Included in each sweep is a smoke draw test and a complete inspection of the chimney.
A chimney is exposed to the elements and is particularly vulnerable to high winds. If gaps in the mortar of the chimney are starting to appear then it is probably time to get it inspected. At the extreme the chimney can collapse so don't ignore signs of cracks. Chimneys can be close to the edge of a hip roof or in the middle of the roof on the ridge.
Regular inspection and cleaning of chimney flues will help prevent fires within chimneys, most chimney fires are preventable. Too many people die each year in the UK from Carbon Monoxide poisoning and many become chronically ill, with symptoms including headaches and drowsiness, it's often confused with flu.

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
I have used Marcus's a number of years now and always had an excellent service from him. Very professional, clean and tidy. He always turns up on time, protects the area around the fire and then gets on with the job. Also very good value as well. I have recommended him to a number of family and friends who all now use him to.

I’ve never met Marcus but when I rang him the other day he said he wasn’t free for another few weeks
I explained it was urgent as it was an office boiler serving several staff and we had no heating. I thought it was a blocked flue as the boiler had been given a clean bill of health. Marcus turned up the next day after hours and spent a long time thoroughly cleaning the flue. The boiler still didn’t work so he went up on the roof and discovered that the Cowling was not working properly. He went away and came back with a new Cowling which he fitted. The boiler is now working perfectly and
