We combine traditional craftsmanship with the latest masonry technology and equipment to provide you with first-class craftsmanship and service. As members of NAMM for over 30 years, we strive to meet set standards of workmanship and business practice. With us, you get a 6-year guarantee on the materials used and work carried out.

Choose from our wide range of memorial stones, sizes, shapes and ornamentation to suit your individual needs. However, individual cemeteries and churchyards often place restrictions on memorial dimensions, stone types and finishes. As we are familiar with all the local rules and regulations, we can advise you on what conforms to your particular location.

It is necessary to apply to your local churchyard or cemetery authorities for permission to erect a memorial. We can submit drawings and details of lettering styles and finishes on your behalf at no extra cost. Contact us now for written quotations. For new memorials and additional inscriptions, a memorial consent form with your full memorial details has to be submitted to the local churchyard or cemetery authority for permission.
Services
Kenneth A Fraser Ltd offers a wide range of traditional and modern memorials made of granite, marble, slate, limestone and York stone. We cover Lancashire, Cumbria, Cheshire, Manchester and North Yorkshire. All-polished memorials are the most resistant to weathering and can be expected to maintain their original appearance for more than 50 years after being fixed in the cemetery.
Kenneth A Fraser Ltd uses both traditional and modern methods of cutting letters into memorial stones. We cover Lancashire, Cumbria, Cheshire, Manchester and North Yorkshire. Lettering on granite memorials are finished with gold leaf but can also be painted, usually white or silver on dark granite and black on lighter granite.
All local authority cemeteries, Church of England churchyards and most other cemeteries and churchyards levy fees for memorial work. Charges are made for granting permission to install a new memorial, inscribed vase or tablet, as well as approving additional inscriptions on existing memorials. Usually no fee is charged for renovation work, e.g.
We understand that it is difficult for you to assess the quality and workmanship of a memorial whilst buying. Which is why, we recommend choosing a member of the NAMM for your memorial needs.

Should any memorial supplied by us (the seller) prove to be faulty in workmanship or material within 10 years of the memorial being fixed in the cemetery or churchyard, the memorial will be made good (if this is not possible) or replaced without any expense to the purchaser. As natural materials vary from time to time in colour and texture this guarantee relates only to the type and soundness of the material and not to its colour and texture.
