My name is Csaba Toth (just call me Chubba) and I'm a member of The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps with over a decade's experience in chimney sweeping and repairs. I firmly believe that your can only provide an excellent service if you like what you are doing. I'm lucky to be able to say that chimney sweeping is not just a job for me: it has become my passion over the years.
It is vital that your chimney is swept frequently in accordance with the table below to help prevent chimney fires and to receive the highest efficiency and best economy from your heating appliance or fire. Chimney sweeping can be carried out any time during the year. However, it is important to have the chimney swept before the burning season commences in Autumn/Winter.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas, highly toxic to humans and animals in dense concentrations. CO is produced from the combustion of all carbon-based fuels when not enough oxygen is present. It is vital that you have a CO detector fitted near your appliance, fire, gas or oil cooker.
