Anglian Preservation is an independent damp-proofing and timber treatment specialist company with over 25 years of experience in the trade. Over this time, we have understood the importance of supplying our customers with a prompt, efficient and expert customer service. As the experts in the trade, we believe that it is imperative to supply detailed paperwork with the defects discovered in terms that our clients can understand.
A common route of condensation is caused by the ever improving standards or insulations, double glazing and draught proofing in properties. These installations boast obvious benefits in their retention of heat; however it can result in poor air ventilation, stale air, and trapped moisture. Over time this lack of ventilation can result in unhealthy living conditions.
Woodworm can cause serious damage to structural timbers. The beetle lay their eggs in open joints and crevices within the timber, the eggs hatch into larvae (woodworm), the worm bore through the wood which will weaken and damage the structure. If woodworm infestation goes unnoticed for a long period this can have an incredibly detrimental effect on the structure of the property.
Accurate diagnosis of damp and timber problems in buildings is essential to ensure appropriate remedies without unnecessary use of chemicals and undue expense. Anglian Preservation will charge a small fee for survey's and written reports. Companies that offer free survey's and reports, will usually send unqualified surveyors that are on commission.

This is a very overdue review for David as he was kind enough to come and quote for us when we were buying a house locally. He was really responsive and helpful and I felt like he had integrity and would only advise on works that were really needed. Unfortunately the house sale fell through but I would contact David again for any further damp proofing needs.
