We service & maintain both Commercial and Residential solar panels systems ranging from large solar farms to small domestic solar installations both ground and roof mounted, we currently service around 3500 domestic customers all over Scotland, our most recent commercial system service was a 1 Megawatt system we serviced for ALDI at their Scottish distribution centre in Bathgate.

Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) is the most effective way of ensuring your PV solar panel system is performing correctly. Has your solar PV system been inspected to ensure that it is compliant with MCS regulations? Although your system was installed by an MCS company, they may not have been a qualified electrician.

Solar panels work by allowing light into the solar cells, the more light that gets in the more power it will generate, the panels are normally installed at an angle to make them more efficient, this does however make them prone to a build up of dust and dirt that does not clean itself with just rain, then if you take into consideration other elements like bird droppings etc this can have an extremely detrimental effect on the returns you are expecting from your own PV system.

This company employs “engineers’ who cannot diagnose faults. Our meter reading has been stuck prior to 20th Nov last year (apparently due to a faulty inverter). We only discovered this when giving our service provider our feed-in meter reading, and they told us it hadn’t changed since the aforementioned date. Solar Services did our annual maintenance check on 21st January this year and failed to notice this major fault, resulting in a loss of perhaps several hundred pounds of feed-in revenue since. Today another engineer from their company came and confirmed the fault and agreed that the

I booked an annual service of my solar panels but admittedly was not too clued up on the process. Lukasz was very helpful explaining how the system works, what my expected output would be and some useful advice on maintenance. Service was quick and effective. Would highly recommend using Solar Services Scotland again.

Made arrangement for inspect and repair.took day off work as confirmation given previous day engineer would call am the next day sat until 2.30pm no sign of engineer phoned office given some excuse about previous job and told I would have to reschedule. They had made no attempt to tell me this. Wouldn't recommend this company.when I complained to office the phone was slammed down use at your peril.
