Services
There are beautiful solid wood floors laying neglected or undiscovered in homes and buildings throughout the UK. In time all wood floor will start to age and take on a dull, lifeless quality without proper care and maintenance. At floor2restore we specialise in restoring and maintaining wood floors in both commercial and residential environments.
Wood floor sanding removes any pre-existing oils, wax, paint or varnish from the wood, leaving a smooth, pristine surface ready for your choice of finish to be applied. Good preparation can have a huge impact the final result this is why we take the time to fill any holes or knots, remove unwanted staples and nails, and replace damaged floor boards where necessary before we will commence sanding.
Customers often ask us to match the colour of their newly sanded floor to a particular piece of furniture to help complete the desired look in a room. When professionally applied it is possible to make a typical pine floor appear like a much more expensive hardwood floor like oak or walnut. Wood floor staining can also be used to bring out the grain in the wood, helping to show the floor off to its true potential.
Through natural wear and tear or accidental neglect, damage can occur to your floor in the form of cracks and splits, warping and rot. In such instances a wood floor repair is essential before the floor sanding process can commence. Floor2restore will examine each floor board, and where possible will skillfully repair any damaged pieces.

I was looking for someone to refurbish or make good a couple of wooden planks after I stupidly bleached them with the steam mop. James Hawkins did an amazing job and was the only company who were happy to help me and wasn't trying to recommend a whole new replacement floor which would be very costly. I can thoroughly recommend Floor2Restore. Superb service and I wasn't ripped off!
